Headshot FAQs
Why does my headshot matter so much?
Your headshot is your calling card! It’s often the first thing casting directors see, so it’s got to represent you—authentically, professionally, and naturally. Think of it as your way of making an unforgettable first impression.

What makes the ideal headshot?
-
Be Yourself: Your headshot should look like you. Keep it natural and simple.
-
Focus on Quality: This is not the time for blurry selfies or amateur snaps. Professional photography makes all the difference.
-
Highlight Your Features: Especially your eyes—they’re the window to the soul (and casting directors know it!).
-
Recent & Accurate: Make sure it looks like you right now, not five hairstyles ago.

How many looks can we shoot in a session?
We aim for around five distinct looks per session, but the key is being prepared. Plan your wardrobe, hair, and makeup changes in advance to make the most of our time. If we have time for more, I’m happy to keep snapping!

What should I wear?
Bring outfits that make you feel confident and match the roles you’re aiming for. Think simple, timeless, and you! Avoid loud patterns, logos, or anything too distracting but choose colours that bring out your different looks.

Can I bring someone along?
Sure, but let me know in advance. Having someone there can be helpful, but sometimes it can be a distraction. The most important vibe in the room is the one between you and me.
How many photos should I upload to my online gallery/Spotlight page?
Less is more! 15 images is usually the limit, but honestly, 4-5 strong, diverse photos that really represent you will have a much bigger impact.

What kind of photos work best?
-
Strong headshots that show your range.
-
A mix of expressions and styles—keep it versatile.
-
Keep it professional—no holiday snaps, selfies, or glamour shots!

What should I avoid uploading?
-
Poor-quality photos (blurry, pixelated, or amateurish).
-
Pictures where it’s not clear who you are.
-
Images with props, distracting backgrounds, or overly staged poses.

Portrait FAQS

What kind of portraits do you shoot?
From personal branding to creative artistic portraits, family sessions, or just capturing your unique essence, I’m open to anything! Tell me your vision, and we’ll bring it to life.

Can we include other people in the shoot?
Yes! Whether it’s family, friends, or your furry companion, I’m happy to include them in your session. Just let me know how many people will be involved, and what ideas you have in mind then we can plan accordingly.

Do you shoot outdoors or on location?
Absolutely! Outdoor locations or a meaningful setting can add a personal touch to your portraits. Let’s brainstorm the perfect spot for your vibe.

Can I bring props or accessories?
Of course! Props are a great way to personalize your portraits. Whether it’s a guitar, a favourite hat, or even something quirky, let’s make it work.
What should I wear?
Choose outfits that make you feel confident and reflect your personality. Bring options to mix up the look—casual, formal, or something in between.
How creative can we get?
As creative as you want! This is your time to express yourself, so bring ideas, mood boards, or any wild concepts you’ve been dreaming of.
How long does the session last?
Portrait sessions are usually about 1.5–2 hours, giving us plenty of time to try different styles and setups.

Can I have black-and-white photos or creative edits?
Yes! If you’re after a particular style, let me know. I can provide black-and-white versions or edits with a more artistic flair.
How many images will I receive?
You’ll receive a gallery to review, and once you’ve made your selections, I’ll deliver your final edited images.
Can we do multiple sessions if I have more ideas?
Absolutely! If you’ve got lots of creative visions, let’s plan a follow-up session.

Session Details
Where are you based?
I’m in Notting Hill, west London! For outdoor shoots, Holland Park Station is closest. For studio sessions, head to Ladbroke Grove Station. You’ll get full address details when you book, and there’s on-site parking if you’re driving.

How long will the session take?
Plan for about two hours. We don’t always need the full time, but it’s better to have some buffer room to relax and get into the zone.

Can I reschedule or cancel?
Of course! If you cancel at least four days in advance, you’ll get a full refund. If something comes up last minute, let me know, and we’ll work it out.

How do I pay?
Booking is super easy. You’ll be prompted to reserve your session online, and after that, we’ll send a confirmation email.

Retouching & Delivery
Are retouches included?
Yep! Retouched images are part of the package. After your shoot, you’ll get a gallery of raw images to pick from, and I’ll work my magic on your favorites. Final, polished shots will be with you within seven days.

What if I don’t like my hair, makeup, or outfit during the session?
Preparation is key! Come ready with tried-and-true looks and styles that make you feel your best. I’ll help guide you, but remember: the more prepared you are, the smoother the session will go.

Prepping for Your Shoot
How should I prepare?
-
Plan Ahead: Chat with your agent about the looks you need.
-
Wardrobe: Bring clothes that fit your casting goals—simple and versatile works best.
-
Grooming: Avoid last-minute haircuts or drastic changes before the shoot.
-
Makeup: Keep it natural, and bring powder or oil blotting pads for touch-ups.

What if I’m nervous?
Don’t worry—you’re in good hands! We’ll take our time to make sure you’re comfortable and confident. Practice some poses and expressions beforehand if it helps, but I’ll be guiding you every step of the way. I like to work with a soundtrack usually, so whatever music helps you will help us create a more serene atmosphere.
